Spanglish

Marieke y Roos cada vez aprenden más español, lo que les permite incluso hacer sus presentaciones en nuestra lengua o, más bien, en "Spanglish" con los cursos más bajos.

Marieke and Roos are learning more and more Spanish every day and this allows them to do their presentations in our language or, rather, in "Spanglish" with the lower secondary students.

Los chicos y chicas de 1º ESO C han escuchado hoy con mucha atención todo lo que han explicado e incluso les han ayudado con su español.

 

Today, the 1º ESO students have listened carefully to their explanations and they have even helped them with their Spanish.

 

 

Comida holandesa / Dutch Food

Esta tarde Roos y Marieke han participado en los talleres culturales de nuestro instituto, que este trimestre giran en torno al tema de la comida. Así que... ¡qué mejor ocasión para conocer algo más sobre la comida de su país de origen!

This afternoon Roos and Marieke have taken part in the school cultural workshops, which this term deal with the topic of food. So... what could be better than listening to them to know more about the food in their native country?

 

Nos han hablado de algunos platos típicos de Holanda, como:

Boerenkool met worst

Poffertjes y Pannenkoeken

¡Y, por supuesto, el plato estrella: Wentelteefjes! Incluso nos los prepararon para que los probáramos a la vez que nos enseñaban algunas palabras en holandés.
And, of course, the most important this afternoon: Wentelteefjes! They even prepared them for us while they taught us some Dutch words. 

 

Y casi todos echaron una mano. Mmm... ¡qué ricos! 
And almost everybody helped.  Mmm... heel lekker!

Roos y Marieke nos han explicado algunas cosas sobre su país, como por ejemplo:

• cómo es el sistema educativo holandés
how the Dutch education system is 
• cómo es su instituto
how their school is 
• cómo es la vida típica de los estudiantes 
how students normally live

También nos han enseñado algunas palabras y expresiones en holandés. ¡Qué difícil!
